We knew we wanted to get married on Maui surrounded by our Minnesota and Iowa family and friends, but didn’t know how to organize the event. Luckily an internet search found Magdalena at Maui 808. After an initial personal visit to several beach sites and restaurants recommended by Magdalena we settled on the Sheraton near Black Rock beach. After deciding on the venue we worked with Magdalena from a distance over the next twelve months. Magdalena proved to be an amazing organizer with a wide variety of high quality island contacts to make our event a great success. She had every need fully thought out, including several important details we had not thought about. Changes, whims, and indecision on our part were handled with ease by Magdalena even though in hindsight we must have created heartburn for her. On the day of our wedding Magdalena was there from early morning until late at night organizing the details even though we didn’t start the event until 5 PM! We truly could not have had this sophisticated event happen without her (and her husband assisted as well). Thanks Magdalena for your professionalism and the heartfelt care you gave us. Magdalena even provided a video recap of our wedding, something we will treasure forever.

I found Officiant Keola Mauloa by chance when looking at multiple wedding sites for Maui; he was incredibly helpful and responsive in planning everything across multiple time zones. He was flexible with the location (I wanted a very specific spot), he scheduled our appointment for our wedding license, ordered lei for us and honestly just kept me very excited for the big day. When it finally arrived - it was raining but he found the most beautiful words that made everything feel just perfect, like it was meant to be. Can't recommend him enough, wonderful officiant!

I didn't want to end up standing awkwardly in front of some stranger on a beach for the most important ceremony of my life. I would highly recommend Magdalena or Adam for the officiant part because they quickly feel like friends and they both have such warm, caring energy that you can just feel the love radiating from them. Thank you 808 team for giving us the perfect, lovely wedding and gorgeous photos!

My husband and I wanted a very simple, sweet wedding ceremony on Maui, not some big production. Magdalena listened to our vision and helped us create exactly what we were hoping for. She brought personal details of our relationship into the ceremony and it ended up being more magical, intimate, and romantic than we could have dreamed of. The whole thing was perfectly "us." which shows that Magdalena did an excellent job of designing our wedding. She was very responsive, organized and flexible, and went above and beyond my expectations. I have no doubt that she could easily design a much grander wedding, but our easy low-key wedding was just perfect for us.
